    Default Internet cost in Thailand

I was trying to put it this under broadband, but the broadband page is locked.
For those of you who live in Thailand.
How much are you playing a month for broadband or fibre. Because I'm not sure True broadband is too expensive or not
    Cheers

We have full fibre into our home with 3BB and its 749 Baht per month for 200/200. When I speed test it, which i do on a regular basis when home, I get between 200 to 220 download and 190 to 215 upload so I am very happy with it. Due to our location I believe I have a dedicated line also. i.e I am the only one on it.
We tried True but they would not entertain us as we are about 1.5k's outside the village.
We do however have a True Internet TV box and it works perfect

Bangkok = 649 THB per month (includes a fee for paying at 7/11).
Surin = 219 THB per month.

Seems a bit steep. 3BB have a nasty habit of not automatically upgrading existing customers. I'd contact them to see what's currently on offer for that price.

200/200 or 400/50 has just gone on offer for 399 with AIS Fibre.

Might be worth having a look at 3BB - not sure about the costs or speeds but the missus has 3BB fibre at the grandparent's house in the village and it's good enough to support a CCTV system.

I have 3BB in BKK, but found it started playing up, getting slow. I got Mrs to phone to advise them im not paying anymore until it gets sorted, next day a young guy phoned Mrs to phone me to let him in, he reset it up and I had to change Log - in details, but its been super-fast since.
But im not happy with the price per month, I have the option of cancelling with a months notice, so I will be looking to change when / if things normalize.
Mrs had an offer with AIS for 219 THB per month (in Surin) and that is fast and we can use all our devises without a problem.

I didn't look at AIS but when we looked at True they said no because we were too far out of the village.
I will see how we get on with 3BB, then I might look elsewhere

Yeah its a bit steep for where I am but overall I dont think its too bad when its nearly double the price in the UK for some providers

Ouch. You shouldn't be comparing it with the UK.

3BB's 749 baht package (700 plus VAT) currently offers 1000/500, not the 200/200 they're giving you.

They are clearly still playing the same old trick of ripping off existing customers by failing to automatically upgrade them to current speeds. I blew them off 5 years ago, after being a customer for 10 years (they previously operated under the TT&T/Maxnet brand), for the exact same poor practise.

Yes with AIS, they came round canvassing for business, the promotion they offered Mrs was 219 THB for 8 months with free installation, after 8 months goes up to 319 THB per month, payment by internet banking.
When she phoned me to tell me the offer, I was sure she must have misheard the monthly fee or there was a set up charge, so I advised her to call them to double check the conditions, but she was correct.

55555, yes I know but sometime I cannot get out of that mentality to compare

I will speak to Ohm and get her to speak to them about these offers, thanks for the info

Edit....Just spoke to Ohm, we are tied in for a year then we can change it to a new contract.

I've had them all and from a reliability point of view I found that AIS fibre were the very best, which I have at home, closely followed by 3BB which I have at my work. I found True a complete nightmare with very poor customer service. In terms of price its all much of a muchness in my opinion.
