I e-mailed the guy yesterday & got a reply today. I sent Lee a copy of that reply. M.Smith says that he will be visiting the site again. Watch this space I guess....

Casey, are you acting as his on-line agent? And are you getting paid a fee for promoting him and his new book too??

and hopefully he'll attend a group meeting when he does,so we can arrange a book signing.
After all, Stephen Leather has attended a couple of Pattaya bars in the last fortnight to sign copies of "Private Dancer".

    Hi everyone
Just to let you all know that the next book, 'Bangkok Angel - The Reality' still isn't finished - which will please a certain member no doubt. My co-writer Robin (the one that can spell!) had a massive heart operation in January that he has now just about recovered from. I will pop into the site again to let you know when it finally gets finished.
Have some great news for Richard! An american film producer has bought the option rights on 'Bangkok Angel' to make a film. Thought I'd mention this as it might give some of you some fun suggesting who could play the various parts - especially Fagin.
Knowing the entertainment business like I do, having been in it most of my life, this film probably won't get made. But you never know - strange things happen in this world.
I'm still with Whisky, still visiting Thailand, and still trying to learn to write, but don't hold your breath on that one.
    Cheers everyone
    Mike
PS Having looked round the site again today I have to say how impressed I am with it. Gets better and better. Excellent.

About nine years ago, I was lent a copy of the(at that time)unpublished story of Mike and Whiskey. If I remember right, it was a photocopy, called "Primary Purpose", and later it was to be published as "Bangkok Angel".

I found it to be a really useful read for someone to whom it was relevant. (I was new to Thailand, having recently met Thong in Singapore, and having been (as we say in Yorkshire) "smitten".)

My view is that the advent of word processors and desk-top publishing facilities is a great step forward simply because it does allow experiences to be be shared in this way. In my youth, such accounts which are 'heavy on content' but 'light on literature style' did not get to be published and the broadening of our views of humankind's myriad 'activities' did not happen. Buddha has smiled.

i exchanged emails with him in late 2006 and one of the things he said is that the second book for various reasons 'probably' won't be finished.

i hope this is not the case and it does get finished!
