Im now applying for my wife's provisional driving licence - she hasnt driven before

Paid 50 quid to the DVLA and will send in her Thai passport - which is in our married name.

Am I right I DO NOT have to have her photo countersigned on the back even though it states she does have to have a witness known her for 2 years and living in the UK?

I dont know anyone who knows Mol for 2 years - Ive only known her for coming up to two years anyway.

    Many thanks Chris

    Dear Chris,

No, sorry they won't accept it. In this case you have to go in the nearest DVLA office with your wife and her passport and certainly her photos. The officer there will have to sign it for her.

    Good Luck
    Nana

    Hi Chris,

Nana is 100% correct, we had the same issue, but thankfully the DVLA was very close to my office.

    Good luck
