    Hi all,

I don't know where else to post this request, so I thought here is as good a place as any...

My wife Eiam is due to arrive back in the UK with me for the first time on 24th April and I was wondering what to expect at the UK immigration desk at Gatwick Airport.

Obviously she has a visa in her passport and all the paperwork re our marriage in Bangkok,

What other paperwork should we have ready?

Can I attend the desk with her?

    Does she need a medical?

What else have we to arrange prior to arrival?

I am sure that someone will be able to help and I would like to say thanks in advance to anybody who posts a reply.

    Best regards,

    Dave.

    Dave,

Don't know about Gatwick but Dao's first time in with her shiny new f/v visa was Heathrow

From what she told me the immigration people asked for the TB cert but did not give her a medical however she had not filled in the landing card in english which caused a problem but a Thai lady on the same flight spoke to me on the mobile (I was in arrival hall) asking address etc and filled in the card in front of the immigration officer who then waved Dao through!

I assume from your post you are travelling with Eiam and if so you can go in the all other passport channel with her and therefore can explain things if any questions asked!

Should be all be ok and welcome to UK Eiam

    Hi Dave,
My wife came through Manchester on her own last month and was only asked to show her passport, and asked my name and where she was staying.
Quite simple really - dont worry.

    Many thanks Guys,

A weight off my mind, I am counting down the days now until I fly off to be re-united with Eiam and then look forward to coming home with my darling wife to share our lives together.

    Best regards,
    Dave.

    Dave,

When we landed at Gatwick my wife just had to show her passport. She was asked where she was going next and she said 'over there' and pointed in my direction.

You can go and queue with your wife at passport control.

As someone has already said 'don't worry', and all the best to both of you.
