    Default Authorised witness passport

My daughter is in the process of starting to obtain a british passport for her 12 month old son We have a close friend who has in the past witnessed and signed passport application forms for our family She was a Senior S R N in the medical proffesion. Now that she has retired she does not think she is allowed to sign a passport application form Does any member know whether this is true.

Retired people can sigh the form. Check the guide notes for confirmation.
